Workshops for Health and Fitness Professionals

FitRight offers a variety of education workshops for health and fitness professionals. We are passionate about educating others on topics to do with pelvic floor and core muscles, safe exercise during pregnancy, and the importance of individualised postnatal return to exercise.

FitRight also hosts a number of world class presenters, who travel to Perth to present workshops to health and fitness professionals.

CoreEd

Pelvic Floor Workshops for Health & Fitness Professionals

These pregnancy, postnatal and pelvic floor workshops are run by physiotherapists with extra training in the area of Women’s Health. They are aimed at increasing knowledge in the community on these important topics.

Modifications can be made so that the workshop can be aimed at fitness professionals, gym participants, physiotherapists, doctors, or other health professionals, and can cover any related topics including:

  • What is the Pelvic Floor and the Core and what are the consequences of dysfunction in this area?
  • How can different exercises help or worsen pelvic floor related issues in women?
  • How and why should exercise be modified during pregnancy?
  • What constitutes optimal postnatal return to exercise, and why can’t you just ‘listen to your body’?
  • What is the role of a Women’s Health Physiotherapist in exercise and pelvic floor muscle health?

The FitRight three hour CoreEd workshops cost $70+GST/person.

Antony Lo is coming back to Perth! Antony from the Physio Detective is coming to Perth again in 2019, hosted by FitRight. Usually he presents here annually on the topic of ‘The Female Athlete’, but this time it’s a brand new course called ‘A Pragmatic Approach to Pain’ and he’s also bringing Amy Eicher from the USA to co present.

If you haven’t already, do yourself a favour and listen to the podcast where Antony and Marika Hart interviewed Amy about her experience with chronic pelvic pain. It’s fascinating and devastating at the same time.
