Post Grad Diploma in Physiotherapy (Women’s Health)
Where do you work as a Physio and what type of clients do you treat on a normal day?
I have had the privilege of working both as generalist physiotherapist with a keen interest in women’s health and pelvic floor function during my post grad studies in the late ‘80s/early 90’s and then entirely in the area of women’s, men’s and pelvic health from 1999 onward. Currently I work at Fremantle Hospital 2 days a week, part time for Momentum Physiotherapy and Pilates and for Curtin University supervising master’s students during their clinical placements. This variety allows me to treat women, men and children with any pelvic floor, bladder or bowel problems or pregnancy issues.
Which FitRight classes do you currently teach?
The Fremantle FitRight Woman class
What do you love most about being a FitRight Instructor?
I am enjoying the opportunity to provide an exercise class that is appropriate for women dealing with the challenges of mid life and having some fun at the same time. It’s also a really nice change from sitting or standing during treatment sessions and at the same time sharing useful information in an informal setting.
